Lots of Goodies

Just lots of randomness today...

I got my official substitute teaching ID badge yesterday! I am so excited, now I just have to go on to the website and enter my info and I will definitely call a couple of the schools I tutored at and had practicums/student taught at so I can work in those, though I am definitely willing to go just about anywhere.

This is the Nohari window, most of you, if you have seen this at all, have probably seen the Johari window, but try them both please please pleeeeeeeease. Or else I will bug you until you do it.

I keep having these strange dreams that just don't make sense, which I talked about some early, like the baked bean throwing one at Office Depot, but here is another one I had last night: I was going to a womens basketball game, but not here at Devaney, it almost look like the gymnasium from Eastview High School, my high school's rival. I had a backpack on and I was meeting Adam and some of his friends at the game. I am not sure if we were in high school or not, but it felt like it. Adam's phone kept ringing throughout the whole game and it kept begin me so finally I told him to shut his phone off, which I may have said outloud in my sleep because Drake's phone rang this morning and his phone alarm was also going off at some point. Not so weird, you say? How about this: the person who kept calling Adam was Kenny G. I know, I know, now it's weird.

Most of you know I am not a highly religious person. I am completely in favor of everyone being entitled to their own religious beliefs and the key word there is 'acceptance', not 'tolerance'. I really do not like the word 'tolerance' because to me it sounds like when you tolerate something, you are just putting up with it, not necessarily accepting it. You don't have to accept other religions as your own, what you have to accept is the fact that not everyone will believe the same things that you do. Anyway, I have been know, now and then, to crack jokes about most religions, and even about Jesus himself, and for this I know I am probably going to Hell. But Teetz is going along to keep me company, so I am not too worried about it. But anyway, I stumbled across the blog of a former sorority sister and was highly offended by some of the things she was writing about God and Jesus. I know what you're probably thinking: If something about religion can offend Sarah, it must be pretty bad. I don't know, maybe I am over-reacting, but Teetz thought it was pretty bad too. This girl is writing about how Jesus is her Royal Husband and that she and Jesus are married (She even chose 'Married' in her Facebook profile and explained in it that she was married to Him, which I also am not sure you can do, but anyway...) Isn't that blasphemy? I thought only nuns were allowed to be 'married' and that was to the church, and this girl goes on and on, quoting scripture that she has twisted and warped in order to make it fit her definition and mold of Jesus being her husband. Then, she wrote this poem and called Jesus her lover and at that point I was like, wait a minute her missy...even Drake, who religion doesn't hold much interest for at this point, said it was disturbing, like her love for Jesus was almost carnal. It definitely is not very spiritual to me it seems. Am I just freaking out about nothing? I know I am one of the last people in the world who can judge anyone about anything religion-related, but come on! And all her blog is ever about it Jesus and all these poems she writes about Him and I don't know, I was just wondering what other people though. At first I wondered if she was doing some of this for show, kind of like a "Hey look at me and how good and wonderful and religious I am" but it is certainly something else now that I have read more from her. JohnRoss, please tell me what you think, though of course all comments about it are more than welcome. Maybe I am just over-reacting.

On a lighter note, I found out this past weekend that Adam is coming home on leave!!!!! I was very happy when I found out, and Mike is having a moving in party because, like Silas, he bought a house. He is in Omaha though, and that makes me kind of sad because it means both my guys are on opposite sides - Silas is in Grand Island, and now Mike is permanently in Omaha. At least when they had apartments and stuff, it gave me a teeny tiny glimmer of hope that either might move to Lincoln ( though the possibility was greater with Silas than with Mike). Anyway he will be home the week of Spring Break, which is kind of neat since his birthday is March 13th. The party at Mike's is on the 17th, and it is kind of a bummer because Drake will be home this weekend and we all know how much I hate driving to Omaha at any time, but ah well, Teetz will go with me he already said.

Speaking of Teetz: We watched Idol last night from Tuesday and Wednesday, wow, they all really sucked a lot except for maybe two of the girls and two of the guys. And the SVU he had from last week, I watched on Sunday on USA because suddenly USA got cool and now has a really fast turnaround rate for getting the new SVU episodes on right away, even from this season. It was hott. We might watch tonight to see who was voted off, I am supposed to call him after work. We also went to Wal-Mart and again called Tobin, something that seems like it is becoming a weekly thing. I once again begged her to come to Lincoln so the three of us can get really drunk and possibly arrested on O street. it will be so much fun!

Okay, time to clean my room and get all my sub info registered, don't forget to go to those links please and tell me what you really think of me. I promise I won't get mad!
